The Dilush Tiling Lifestyle Empire

Adelaide’s Luxury Tiling Specialists

Founded by brothers Michael and Chris Tronnolone, Dilush Tile & Stone has grown into one of South Australia’s most recognised names in high-end tiling. From detailed residential finishes to large commercial projects, their craftsmanship, reliability, and dedication to client satisfaction have positioned them as the go-to choice for premium tiling across the state.

Where it all started...

By FY25, Dilush had pushed well past into the multi-seven figure range, but Michael and Chris had a bigger vision: To build an eight figure tiling empire by 2030. To get there, they needed to move beyond “working hard” and into structured growth. Driven by recruitment, leadership development, and financial discipline.

The problem...

  • Recruitment Roadblocks: Despite running ads and Seek campaigns, applications were scarce. Skilled tilers were hard to find, and underperforming team members slowed delivery.

  • Founder Bottleneck: Michael and Chris were still across quoting, delivery, and management, leaving little space for strategy.

  • Leadership Gaps: The business needed supervisors and leading hands to step up, with one or two flagged for future leadership but not yet in role.

  • Profit Volatility: One month would exceed targets, while the next would barely break even causing cashflow and margins to swung with pipeline timing.

  • Commercial Scale: Large projects were on the horizon, but systems for subcontractor agreements, job costing, and reporting needed tightening to manage the risk.

The Solution...

With Alpha Tradie, Toma Power Solutions put a growth plan in place across Pipeline, People, Profit, and Scale.

  • Created a recruiting campaign including marketing assets, enticing copy and an irresistible offer.
  • Structured a leadership pathway for tilers to step into Supervisor roles.

  • Designed a profit-share incentive program for leading hands increasing accountability on site.

  • Balanced residential and commercial work to smooth capacity.

  • Expanded into large commercial projects to drive future growth.

  • Used direct outreach, Instagram DMs, and EstimateOne directory searches to fill the tender pipeline.

  • Adopted quarterly re-forecasting, using Xero Budget Manager to track actuals vs forecast.

  • Introduced monthly governance meetings to track KPIs across marketing, sales, ops, people, and finance.

  • Leveraged SimPro for job management and forecasting.

  • Prepared the FY30 org chart, mapping the structure needed to run an eight figure company under management.

The Results (So Far)

Dilush is now consistently hitting targets. The pipeline is locked in months ahead, with major projects secured for early 2026. Most importantly, Michael and Chris have shifted from reactive chaos to proactive planning. They now have a clear recruiting playbook and a pathway to attract and retain top talent. Leadership is also being built from within with incentives designed to keep key players engaged long-term.

The brothers now talk not just about “getting through the work,” but about how to build their lifestyle empire, cementing Dilush as South Australia’s #1 tiling brand.
